Apocalipsis Now (2019–2022)

In Apocalipsis Now, Nathalie Rey reflects on the collapse of the world as we know it — ecological, moral, and emotional — not through images of catastrophe, but through irony, tenderness, and transformation. Her installations, drawings, and objects explore the blurred boundaries between the artificial and the organic, the sacred and the disposable.

Rather than announcing the end, the project enacts a revelation: a moment in which the hidden consequences of human activity become visible. Waste, decay, and excess are not treated as failures, but as materials through which life persists in unexpected forms.

Combining critical thought with a sense of play and visual seduction, Rey transforms the apocalypse into a poetic and sensorial experience — a space where destruction and renewal coexist, and where viewers are invited to reconsider their place within the fragile ecosystem of the living.
