Weaving worlds together

From the hands of her alter egos, stories take shape — fragile, absurd, and luminous. Nathalie Rey moves through play and tenderness, collecting fragments of life to mend what has been broken. Her art is a circle, where voices meet, and imagination becomes a shared form of care.

Each project by Nathalie Rey unfolds like a chapter in a larger story — a world built from fragments, encounters, and transformations. Through installations, performances, and collaborative actions, she explores how art can heal, question, and reimagine our shared realities.

About Nathalie Rey

Nathalie Rey is a French multidisciplinary artist based between Barcelona and Istanbul. Her work combines humor, metonymy, and tenderness to explore themes such as consumerism, ecology, memory, love and death. Moving between intimacy and critique, she creates poetic worlds where fragility becomes a form of strength.
Through collaborations with communities and collectives, Rey turns art into a shared practice of care and imagination. Her process is intuitive and wandering, guided by encounters and overlooked stories that challenge dominant narratives.
Originally trained as an architect in Versailles, she later studied literature, fine arts, and photography in Barcelona. Her work has been shown in Spain, France, Germany, Turkey, and Lebanon, and supported by the Institut Ramon Llull and the Government of Catalonia.
